Yes, your normal monthly membership payment continues during the summer holiday, Christmas, Easter, half terms and other scheduled breaks.
ZKS membership is priced for the full training year. That annual cost is divided into 12 equal monthly instalments, so you pay the same manageable amount each month instead of larger amounts only during teaching months.
A holiday payment is therefore not a separate charge for classes taking place that month. It is one part of the annual membership and keeps the student's regular class place reserved.

A simple example
Imagine an annual membership costs £420. Rather than collecting that amount in full, or charging different amounts each term, it is divided by 12:
£420 ÷ 12 = £35 per month
The £35 collected in a holiday month is still part of the same £420 annual cost. The example explains the calculation only; check your Members Area for the actual fee and membership option on your account.
Why ZKS uses equal monthly payments
- Simple budgeting: families know the regular amount each month, including over school holidays.
- No larger termly bill: the annual cost is spread evenly rather than concentrated into teaching months.
- Your place stays reserved: the student's assigned class space remains theirs while the membership is active.
- Year-round planning: ZKS can retain instructors, venues and class capacity ready for each new term.
Important: Please do not cancel your Direct Debit for a school holiday. Under the ZKS Payment Policy, holiday months remain part of the 12-instalment payment plan.
What happens during term breaks?
Children's regular classes generally follow the published ZKS calendar and may pause for summer, Christmas, Easter, half terms or other scheduled closures. These breaks have already been allowed for when the annual membership price is calculated.
Always check the ZKS term dates and event schedule for the exact teaching and closure dates. Holiday camps, competitions or other separately booked events are not included in the normal monthly membership unless ZKS states otherwise.
What the Payment Policy says
The ZKS Payment Policy explains that:
- membership fees are calculated annually and spread evenly across 12 months;
- payments are collected in advance by Direct Debit, normally on the 1st of each month;
- monthly payments continue when regular classes are not running during school holidays;
- payments are non-refundable; and
- cancelling a Direct Debit does not remove an amount already due and may lead to late or missed-payment fees.

Do not simply cancel the bank mandate. Follow the proper membership process so ZKS can apply the correct notice period and confirm the final payment.
