Uniform and sparring equipment

Little Dragons

Wear the Dragons T-shirt and ZKS grip socks.

Mini Ninjas and Junior MA

• ZKSMA white uniform, including white Gi trousers.
• White ZKSMA T-shirt, or a coloured ZKSMA T-shirt corresponding to the student’s belt colour.
• ZKSMA grip socks or bare feet.
• Wear the Gi jacket and belt during class unless the instructor asks you to remove them during the lesson.
• Karate mitts must be used for sparring.

Teen MA

The same uniform requirements apply as for Mini Ninjas and Junior MA.

Shin and instep guards are compulsory for sparring. These must not be the elasticated type, which take too long to put on during class.

For hand protection, use heavier-duty pro gloves. Karate mitts are also permitted.

White Gi trousers and personal comfort

White Gi trousers should be worn for training. If you need an alternative during your period, that is understood. Please wear suitable trousers for training; you can speak privately with your instructor if you need support.

Hot weather and preparing for class

Follow any announced clothing adjustments under our heat policy. Otherwise, the normal uniform requirements apply.

Bring water, keep kit clean and label clothing and equipment. If you are unsure which equipment to buy, check with ZKS through the Members Area before purchasing.
