The separate progression stage after Review eligibility has been achieved.
Completing the required Reviews is part of eligibility; it does not automatically guarantee promotion. White Belts follow the First Review route. Coloured belts normally need all three successfully completed Reviews in the training year to receive their July invitation. Follow the invitation for the member’s next step.
Eligible coloured-belt promotions normally take place in the student’s normal class during the designated July promotion period. Complete the required purchase through the Members Area by the invitation deadline, then attend as directed. Any specifically offered opportunity outside July will be explained in the individual invitation.
Eligible Brown Stripe students follow a separate Junior Black Belt Grading process after their required Reviews. This requires a separate booking and purchase and takes place outside normal classes. It covers techniques and knowledge developed throughout their training. Follow the invitation for preparation, equipment, time and venue.
Competition is not a general requirement for belt progression. At certain points in the training year, ZKS may offer invited competition-based progression opportunities to eligible students. Any opportunity that applies to an individual member will be shown through their invitation or Members Area.
