Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in Aylesbury & Watford
Havoc is the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) and grappling programme at ZKS Martial Arts. It welcomes beginners and experienced students in Aylesbury and Watford, with training focused on technical learning and responsible practice.
What is BJJ?
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu focuses on grappling: controlling positions, escaping holds and applying submissions with care. Gi training uses the martial arts uniform; no-gi training uses different clothing and grips. Check which session you are booking.
BJJ differs from Adult Taijutsu, which also includes stand-up striking and a broader self-defence syllabus. You do not need to compete to train with Havoc.
Your first lesson
A typical session includes warming up, a technique demonstration and partner practice. Tell the instructor that you are new so they can explain the exercise and appropriate level of participation. Safe cooperation and learning when to stop are central to training with a partner.
Follow the clothing instructions for your confirmed session. Ask before buying a gi or other equipment. Adult/older-teen options are normally 16+, with approval and under-18 arrangements where relevant.
Meet the coaching team
Head Instructor Sensei Ben Babbington leads the ZKS organisation and its Havoc programme. The Watford instructor profile introduces Sensei James Stevenson.
Where to train
Aylesbury martial arts classes include ZKS Martial Arts HQ at 111–113 Cambridge Street, Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire. See our Watford classes at Nascot Wood Junior School too. Use the current timetable for the sessions and places available in this programme.
Prices and getting started
BJJ joining options and introductory courses can differ from children’s membership and Adult Taijutsu. Ask ZKS for the current BJJ price and suitable session before enrolling. A dated course offer does not set the permanent membership price.
How to book a free trial
Choose a programme and check the current timetable. Create the parent or account-holder account, add the student and request an available class. Wait for ZKS to confirm the place before attending. A maximum of two trial sessions may be attended, subject to availability. If continuing, complete membership and Direct Debit setup before the next session.
