Autumn Belt Promotion 2026 - Information for Invited Members
This invitation-only event is for members who have already completed the required Mini Assessment(s), now known as Reviews, and are ready to receive their next belt.

You have received this invitation because our records show that your child has already completed the required Mini Assessment(s) (known as Reviews from September 2026) and has already earned their next belt.
The Autumn Belt Promotion has been introduced to provide an additional opportunity for members who had already achieved the required standard but were unable to participate in the July 2026 Belt Promotion.
No further Review is required before this event.
Mini Assessments are now called Reviews
From September 2026, ZKS Martial Arts will use the term Review instead of Mini Assessment.
The purpose of this change is simply to better describe the process. Throughout this page the terms Mini Assessment and Review mean exactly the same thing.
What this means in simple terms
If your child has been invited to the Autumn Belt Promotion, it means they have completed the required Mini Assessment(s) or Reviews and are eligible to receive their next belt.
This event gives members the opportunity to receive the belt they have already earned, even if they were unable to take part in the July 2026 Summer Belt Promotion.
The Autumn Belt Promotion will be held at ZKS Martial Arts HQ in Aylesbury on Saturday 12th September 2026 at 4:00pm.
What happens on the day?
- Arrive approximately 10 minutes before the start time.
- Wear your full ZKS Martial Arts uniform.
- Bring your current belt.
- One spectator may attend with each member.
- Your new belt and certificate will be presented during the ceremony.
- The event is expected to last approximately one hour.
Why are we holding this event?
Every year a small number of members complete all of the required grading requirements but, for various reasons, are unable to attend the Summer Belt Promotion.
Rather than asking these members to wait until the following July to receive a belt they have already earned, the Autumn Belt Promotion provides a dedicated opportunity to complete the previous training year's progression.
This allows members to begin the new training year on the correct belt while maintaining the same grading standards for every student.
This is not an alternative grading route
The Autumn Belt Promotion has been introduced to support eligible members while maintaining the same grading standards expected of every ZKS Martial Arts student.
Members cannot use the Autumn Belt Promotion to bypass Reviews, skip the required process or receive a belt without instructor approval.
Booking or attending the Autumn Belt Promotion is only available to members who have been invited. If you have received an Autumn Belt Promotion invitation, no further Review is required before this event.
Who this event is for
Please only book this event if your child has been invited or listed as eligible for the Autumn Belt Promotion.
Members who completed all required Mini Assessment(s) or Reviews
This may apply to members who:
- completed the required Mini Assessment(s) or Reviews during the 2025/26 training year
- were eligible for the July 2026 Summer Belt Promotion
- did not order their belt or book the July Belt Promotion in time
These members do not normally need to attend the Academic Year Refresher Review because the Review requirements have already been completed.
Members who have already earned their next belt
This event is for members who:
- have already met the required grading standard
- were unable to participate in the July Belt Promotion
- have been invited to attend this Autumn Belt Promotion
The Autumn Belt Promotion is the presentation of the belt already earned. It is not a further assessment.
Need the Academic Year Refresher Review instead?
If your child needs to complete a Refresher Review before becoming eligible, you will have received a separate invitation for that session.
Autumn Belt Promotion pathway
Event details
The standard Belt Promotion fee of £20 applies. This covers the belt, administration, certificate preparation, event planning and presentation of the award.
Members should attend wearing their full ZKS Martial Arts uniform, including their current belt.
Spectators
One spectator per student may attend the Autumn Belt Promotion.
Due to venue capacity at ZKS MA HQ, additional spectators cannot be accommodated.

The Autumn Belt Promotion is invitation only. Please only book if your child has been invited or listed as eligible.
Booking closes Saturday 25th July 2026. This allows us to order belts, prepare certificates and organise the event before the Summer holidays. Late bookings cannot normally be accepted.

Why have I been invited?
Your child has already completed the required Mini Assessment(s) (Reviews) and has already met the grading requirements for their next belt.

Is the Autumn Belt Promotion the same as a Review?
No. A Review is the assessment stage. The Autumn Belt Promotion is the presentation event where eligible members receive the belt they have already earned.
Can anyone book this event?
No. The Autumn Belt Promotion is invitation only and should only be booked by members who have been invited or listed as eligible.
Does my child need the Refresher Review first?
Only if they have been invited to the Academic Year Refresher Review. If your child completed all required Reviews and only missed the July Belt Promotion booking, they may be invited directly to the Autumn Belt Promotion.
Does my child need another Review?
No.
Members invited directly to the Autumn Belt Promotion have already completed the required grading requirements.
If your child required an Academic Year Refresher Review instead, you would have received a separate invitation.
How much is the Autumn Belt Promotion?
The standard Belt Promotion fee is £20. This covers the belt, administration, certificate preparation, event planning and presentation of the award.
How many spectators can attend?
One spectator per student may attend due to venue capacity at ZKS MA HQ.
Where is the event held?
The event is held at ZKS MA HQ, 111–113 Cambridge Street, Aylesbury, HP20 1BT. This includes invited members from other venues such as Watford.
What should my child wear?
Students should attend wearing their full ZKS Martial Arts uniform, including their current belt.
What if my child does not attend?
Your child will continue training as normal.
However, the next opportunity to receive the belt they have already earned will be the Summer Belt Promotion in July 2027.
